About the Memphis
Community Improvement Initiative

In response to the growing rate of crime, high infant mortality, instances of teen age pregnancy, and youth joining gangs, we have created a list comprised of nonprofits and government agencies that provide services in the Memphis area; included is the agency name, address, phone number, and website. In many cases the organization's source of funds, category of services provided and a brief description of services is provided. It is a work in progress. After this information is accumulated, it will be available to neighborhood leaders so that they can easily ascertain what services are available for their residents.

The list is arranged into categories. Organizations and agencies are listed under each category that they provide service.

If you know of an organization or agency that you cannot find on the list, please email me.

Sincerely,
Walker Uhlhorn
